REVIEW : Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation / Fond de Teint Healthy Mix

hello everyone, i would just like to thank you for your tips on my last post , about Blogger's photo limit . if you have more tips for me, i would love to hear it there :)

so , today's post is about a product that i really love. This product is my most used foundation of all time. It is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. First of all, if you don't know yet, Bourjois is a french cosmetic company, it sells almost everything, from face products to nail products, to shampoos and body washes. Bourjois  is somewhat a brand between cheap ,affordable brands like Rimmel and Catrice  and high end brands such as Chanel and Dior. Bourjois  owns Chanel, which explains the similarities of their products especially their blushes.

some people say that is is comparable with the Chanel Vita Lumière, but i can't really tell that because i haven't tried the Chanel one yet .

so here's the review about this Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation :

PLASTIC PACKAGING WITH PUMP.
the packaging is in plastic which can be a pro for those who want lightweight product that they can bring wherever they want, or a con for those who want sleeker looking products ( who want glass packaging ) . It also comes with a pump which is great, because i don't like those foundation without pumps because they are hard to work out with, you can't really control the amount of foundation that going to pour out. And with a pump, it is way more hygienic.

LONG LASTING FOUNDATION.
it says that it can last up to 16 hours, but i can't really say that because i will never wear a foundation that long. but it does last long enough, up to 8 hours.

LIGHT TO MEDIUM COVERAGE AND BUILDABLE FOUNDATION.
i do not have acne scars but i do breakout a little so i don't really need a lot of coverage. since the shade that i got was a perfect match for my skin tone, i put this only on some trouble areas, i use it more like a concealer. like i said, it has light to medium coverage, so it will depend on how much you put and how you blend it.

EASY TO BLEND AND DEWY FINISH.
aside from being a light to medium coverage foundation, this is really easy to blend. it takes some time to dry unlike those mattifying foundations. i apply it using a foundation brush or a synthetic powder brush like E.L.F's Complexion Brush, or a damp sponge or  i apply it simply by using my fingers.  This has a dewy finish. it gives your skin a nice glow.

BE CAREFUL FOR THOSE WHO HAVE OILY SKIN.
since it has a dewy finish, it doesn't have a matte finish that, with oily skin, like to have. so if you have oily skin , like me, do not forget to seal it with a powder. this can also help on preserving the foundation, to make it last longer.

AFFORDABLE PRICE.
well, this depends on which country you buy it i think, because i have heard that this can retail up to $34 which is a lot. But in my case , i only bought it for 14 or 16 euros. for a foundation like this, i think it is really affordable.

INGREDIENTS:
Water, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium chloride, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Alcohol Denat, Parfum, Panthenol, Alcohol, Aluminum hydroxide, Silica, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Pyrus malus, Zingiber officinale, Prunus armeniaca, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Mica, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77007, CI 77891

i am not sure if this is a water based foundation, but by looking at the ingredients, it contains a lot of water, so i concluded , well that maybe this is more of a water-based one.

MATCH MY SKIN TONE PERFECTLY.
if you are wondering, i have yellow undertones, and i find that most of the shades of this foundation are with yellow undertones. so if you're like me but pale,  shade 51 or 52 will work really good on you . by the way, i am shade 56 in Light Bronze .

FRUIT THERAPY
Radiance - Boosting
Apricot for radiance
melon for hydration
Apple for anti-oxidant
Ginger for energy

i think it does really what it says, because it doesn't feel heavy on my skin . and it smells really good. it doesn't have this normal foundation scent like other foundations.

TO WRAP  EVERYTHING UP.
i really like the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation , unlike other foundations , this doesn't feel heavy on my skin and it has a nice scent to it .  how about you ? what do you think ?
have you heard of this foundation ?
do you have it ? do you like it too ?

  1. True. Why do products promise 12+ hours when they know that people don't wear makeup for that long?

  3. this is such a nice review. and oh, about the photo limit, it's also happening to me but I already find the way out. I suggest you to upload your picture from photobucket.com and when you're about to make a post on Blogger, you can choose "upload from web" and then put the link of your picture (which is already uploaded at Photobucket) on it. I've try it on my 2 latest posts and it works well :)
